ITC has launched its gourmet bakery brand, Sunfeast Baked Creations, in Mumbai and Pune, following the brand’s success in Bangalore.

Sunfeast Baked Creations offers handcrafted croissants, both sweet and savoury, delivered directly to customers’ doorsteps via Swiggy and Zomato, with a promise of being fresh from the oven. The brand has also been introduced in Chennai and Hyderabad. The brand also has a presence through its cafe. Currently, there are four cafes in operation, with plans to add one or two more, as well as to establish similar cafes in Mumbai and Pune soon.

Viral sensation

The croissants from Sunfeast Baked Creations have become a viral sensation in Bangalore, with one croissant being enjoyed every three minutes, and this trend has established croissants as the preferred snack in the city, according to the Sunfeast Baked Creations brand team. The croissants have become popular among the 19-40 age group, those with disposable income and with a taste for gourmet food.

Mumbai and Pune

Chef Michelle Peris, the executive pastry chef at ITC Sunfeast Baked Creations, noted that the enthusiastic response in Bengaluru demonstrated that India is ready to embrace artisanal croissants at home, prompting the launch in Mumbai and Pune.

The company says these freshly baked and packaged products deliver an authentic café-fresh, flaky experience, appealing to the younger audience. The range includes buttery frangipane almond croissant and the cheese and garlic pull-apart bagel. These products are crafted with the expertise of ITC Hotel’s renowned chefs and baked fresh at the brand’s network of cloud kitchens. ITC Sunfeast Baked Creations is positioning itself as a premium indulgence that doesn’t require a trip to a café.
