Fantasy gaming company Dream11 onboarded 55 million new users in 2023, taking its total registered user to 210 million, the company’s CEO and co-founder Harsh Jain said on Friday. The company had added 20 million new users in 2022.

The growth came one the back of Cricket World Cup as well as the yearly Indian Premier League (IPL), according to industry executives.

Majority of the new users added are in the age bracket of 25-60 years and around 28% are from 115 tier-1, and tier-2 cities, according to the data shared by Jain on LinkedIn. Jain said, Dream11 recorded 1.5 billion unified payment interface (UPI) transactions during the last year.

Dream11 also witnessed 79% year-on-year (YoY) growth in the female users on the platform. It also created 10 billion fantasy sports team.

In FY22, Dream11’s revenue from operations rose over 50% to Rs 3,841 crore. The company’s net profit fell 57% to Rs 142 crore.
