COOX, an Indian platform providing on-demand home services, has raised $125,000 in a Seed Series round led by Inflection Point Ventures. The funds are set to support COOX’s plan to expand its operational reach from 20 to 40 cities, increase marketing efforts, and enhance its technology through AI integration to improve operational efficiency and scalability.

Founded in 2019, COOX offers over 10 on-demand services, including professional chefs, bartenders, waiters, kitchen cleaners, appliance rentals, crockery rentals, event decoration, live singers, and domestic cooks on a monthly subscription basis. COOX serves a range of customer needs, from house parties and weddings to corporate events, allowing users to book specific services like chefs and other event staff through its platform.

“Managing everyday responsibilities or hosting events often requires external help for smooth management. A service provider like COOX that assists with both day-to-day tasks and event hosting makes life easier, allowing individuals to relax and enjoy their time. Not only does it provide convenience, but it also supports the gig economy by creating job opportunities in the hospitality industry. By using technology, COOX modernises home services and ensures hosts can enjoy their events as much as guests. COOX aligns perfectly with IPV’s commitment to backing tech-driven solutions that make a tangible impact,” Vinay Bansal, founder and CEO, Inflection Point Ventures, said.

Since its inception, COOX has served more than 5 lakh customers across 20 cities in India. The company has built a network of over 3,000 trained and verified service professionals, enabling it to ensure quality and consistency for its users. By maintaining a bootstrapped model, COOX reached profitability, demonstrating a sustainable approach in the home services sector.

Inflection Point Ventures, which led this funding round, has invested over Rs 800 crore in more than 260 startups to date. COOX’s latest funding round marks another step in its efforts to capitalise on the growing demand for organised home service solutions across urban India.

“At COOX, we are committed to transforming the landscape of home services through cutting-edge technology, ensuring seamless experiences for both customers and partners. Our aim is to provide not only exceptional service to clients but also create significant employment opportunities for gig workers in the hospitality industry. We passionately believe that ‘Hosts should enjoy as much as the Guests,’ and we work tirelessly to bring this vision to life, enabling every event to be a memorable and enjoyable experience.”Akshat Gupta, Co-Founder & CEO, COOX, said.
