Weekends are all about downtime. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs some breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Sudeep Kulkarni, founder, Game Theory, talks to BrandWagon Online about his weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.
What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
I like to dedicate as much time as possible to my family. My son is just three and it’s incredible to find new games, set up obstacle courses, learn songs and simply have some fun.
Apart from that I also enjoy playing Squash. While I play recreationally, win-loss makes games pretty serious.
How do you spend your weekends?
Being in an early-stage startup, I end up working on most Saturdays. On Sundays, we have a ritual to get some breakfast together, explore some places nearby and enjoy watching a game of sport.
What are your favourite gadgets?
I love the iPad Pro. I could make people believe that I’m an architect because of how powerful the apps on it are. It also connects seamlessly with Macs and acts as an additional screen. It is pretty useful not to use a different mouse and a keyboard but to have two different machines simultaneously.
Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
If I was capable enough to qualify, I would join the armed forces. It’s incredibly challenging work, with tremendous responsibilities.
Which is your favourite vacation spot?
Once I visited a small island called Railey Beach in Krabi, Thailand. You can walk around the island in an hour or so. It’s quiet away from the bright and party parts of Thailand. I could stay for days in just one small place.
