Weekends are all about downtime. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs some breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Sumit Gupta, founder, The Viral Pitch talks to BrandWagon Online about his weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.
What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
During my off-duty hours, my main focus is on dedicating quality time to my family. I consider a balanced work-life equilibrium. Additionally, I’m a big fan of podcasts. They’re a fantastic way for me to unwind and continue learning. I enjoy exploring a wide range of topics, from business and entrepreneurs to personal development. It’s a great way to stay informed and entertained while keeping my mind engaged.
How do you spend your weekends?
On weekends, I like to strike a balance between staying connected with people and finding time for personal enrichment. Frequently, I meet with friends or coworkers to reconnect, whether it’s for professional purposes or in a more social setting.
It’s a great way to nurture relationships and exchange ideas. Additionally, I carve out some time to read.
I find it’s an excellent way to unwind and expand my knowledge. Whether it’s diving into a good book or keeping up with the latest industry news, reading makes my weekend complete.
What are your favorite gadgets?
My favorite gadgets are those that enhance efficiency and make my work enjoyable. Technology has always been a great partner for me, every gadget which makes me efficient makes my work easy and excites me becomes my favorite. I’m a firm believer that the right tech tools can greatly improve both work and personal life, and those are the gadgets that excite me the most.
Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
If I were to choose another career, I’d likely delve into data analytics. The power of data to uncover insights and drive informed decisions has always fascinated me. Data analytics offers the opportunity to turn raw information into actionable strategies and the field’s constant evolution makes it a compelling and promising area of interest.
Which is your favorite vacation spot?
I don’t take vacations frequently, but if i had to choose a favorite vacation spot, it would undoubtedly be Indonesia. I’m attracted to the lively atmosphere, the friendly and inviting locals, and the overall positive ambiance that the country radiates. Its breathtaking scenery, diverse cultural heritage and the chance to experience both natural beauty and vibrant urban life make it a perfect destination for me.
A TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign you highly recommend watching.
Movie- “The Pursuit of Happiness” is a profoundly moving film that i strongly recommend. Starring Will Smith, it tells the true story of a man who overcomes immense hardships to achieve his dreams while providing for his young son. It’s a testament to the power of determination and resilience and is sure to leave you inspired.
