The Job

I am a part of the most exciting industry, and my job is something that I really take a lot of pride in. It touches every aspect of the economy and offers constant learning. What drives me everyday is the belief that real estate is, fundamentally, about people. I consider my team as my biggest asset as well as investment. Our work is not just about managing spaces, but also creating ecosystems that foster well-being, productivity, and collaboration.

The Weekdays

I try to start my day early because it helps me structure the time better. It usually begins with early calls. The office hours are busy with reviews, meetings and client calls. And preparing for that takes a considerable amount of time. Moreover, I am often travelling for a large part of the week. Apart from that, I take time out daily to focus on my health; the healthier I am, the more productive and efficient I am at work. This becomes more important when you are managing teams across different time zones.

The Weekend

I don’t think I ever have a weekend as such. Mentally, I am never off work. If anything, weekends are about work more than the weekdays. But whenever I get a chance, I like to unwind by hanging out with my kids and my dog. I also enjoy listening to music, particularly Jazz and Indian classical, and appreciate good cinema.

The Toys

Perhaps, I have outgrown gadgets with age and the nature of my work. I am not a maximalist when it comes to these ‘toys’. My smartphone is, of course, indispensable for managing my schedule. My most sophisticated tool isn’t electronic, but intangible – mindset. In my opinion, being precise about what to do, when to do and how to do it is the ultimate skill that no device can replace.

The Logos

My favourite brand is, unsurprisingly, CBRE. Everything around it inspires me – from the logo to what it has come to represent: integrity and trust. To me, brand CBRE represents the thousands of employees who are committed to offering their best to the clients and the community every day. While the logo may be a simple one, it reflects our R.I.S.E (Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence) values and how we have chosen to grow responsibly in a challenging industry.
