With the Indian rupee’s value fluctuating immensely and generally trending downwards, here is a list of products that we can still derive immense pleasure from in our day-to-day lives even though they may provide fleeting pleasure and may actually be harmful for health.

1) Candies

While inflation has spread its roots to almost everywhere, I am thankful that my Cadbury Eclair still costs me only a rupee. If you are lucky enough to spot good-old-time-candies like Pan-Parag, you can get two of these for a rupee.

2) Injection needles

Thanks to the health department, these life-saving-injection needles also cost Re 1.

3) Rajnigandha Silver Pearls

The saffron blended, silver coated cardamom seeds packed nicely in a fancy sachet costs only a rupee.

The product was widely promoted by actress Priyanka Chopra

4) Tobacco

There are still a variety of tobacco product sachets that come at the meager price of rupee one. I would only be too happy to see their price increase if it would at all help people in quitting them.

5) Cigarette

Yes Cigarette lovers, you can actually light a smoke for rupee one. There is a cigarette called Sports that comes at the above mentioned price. Though my colleagues told me that it is extremely harmful for health.
