IndiGo flight status today: After cancelling nearly 172 flights yesterday, the chaos at IndiGo continues, with the airline cancelling as many as 51 flights across major Indian cities,  including Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad.  The airline, in its travel advisory issued today, said that occasional fog in Northern India could slow down flight operations, and suggested passengers check flight status before heading to the airport.

IndiGo issues travel advisory

“As winter sets in, early mornings across Northern India can bring fog that may occasionally slow down flight movements. We wanted to share this gentle heads-up in advance, so you can plan with ease and check your flight status before heading to the airport,” IndiGo said in its travel advisory.

It added that it is making adjustments wherever possible to minimise inconvenience. “Please be assured that our teams are well prepared and closely monitoring weather conditions. Wherever possible, we are making thoughtful adjustments on the ground to reduce inconvenience and ensure any waiting time is as comfortable as possible.”

MoCA reviews fog preparedness

The airline said that occasional fog could slow down flight operations and advised passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport. Several flights from major airports, including Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata and Hyderabad, have been cancelled.

The aviation department said, “The Director General Civil Aviation has reviewed the preparedness for fog conditions and has instructed all Regional and Sub-Regional Offices to remain vigilant over the forecast, maintain continuous oversight, and thoroughly check the preparedness of airlines.”

“Officers shall also monitor passenger inconvenience and ensure that airlines are facilitating operations and discharging their responsibilities strictly as per their respective SOPs, CAR 3/M/IV and CAR 3/M/V and any directions issued. Any non-compliance observed shall be reported immediately,” it added.
