MoCA reviews fog preparedness
The airline said that occasional fog could slow down flight operations and advised passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport. Several flights from major airports, including Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata and Hyderabad, have been cancelled.
The aviation department said, “The Director General Civil Aviation has reviewed the preparedness for fog conditions and has instructed all Regional and Sub-Regional Offices to remain vigilant over the forecast, maintain continuous oversight, and thoroughly check the preparedness of airlines.”
“Officers shall also monitor passenger inconvenience and ensure that airlines are facilitating operations and discharging their responsibilities strictly as per their respective SOPs, CAR 3/M/IV and CAR 3/M/V and any directions issued. Any non-compliance observed shall be reported immediately,” it added.
