The Thiruvananthapuram International Airport has been honored as the best airport at arrivals globally by the Airports Council International, as per an announcement made on Tuesday.
The Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards 2023, bestowed by the Airports Council International (ACI), recognized Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, and the Zayed International Airport Terminal A in Abu Dhabi, UAE, according to a statement from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport Ltd (TIAL).
Providing exceptional customer experience
These awards, based on passenger feedback, are regarded as a testament to an airport’s dedication to providing an exceptional customer experience.
“Thiruvananthapuram Airport’s successful efforts and dedication towards delivering superior customer experience and increased satisfaction for its passengers have been recognized with this global award,” the statement said.
Commenting on the achievement, a TIAL spokesperson said, “We are delighted to receive this prestigious award. This adds a feather in the cap for Thiruvananthapuram International Airport which reflects the airport’s dedication to creating a seamless travel experience for passengers.”
ACI highlights that unlike other programs in the aviation industry, the ASQ approach relies on real-time research conducted through surveys directly administered to travelers at the airport, gauging their satisfaction levels, as per the statement.
These surveys encompass more than 30 performance indicators across crucial aspects of the passenger’s airport journey, including ease of navigation, check-in processes, and the variety of shopping and dining options available.
