Tata Advanced Systems Ltd. (TASL) has recently inked a deal with Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) to produce and deliver cutting-edge composite assemblies for Boeing’s 737 MAX, 777X, and 787 Dreamliner. TASL, equipped with state-of-the-art composite manufacturing facilities in Bengaluru and Nagpur, is poised to play a pivotal role in elevating its status as a premier global aerospace composite technology supplier.

With an unwavering commitment to precision and high quality, TASL has consistently showcased its prowess in manufacturing globally competitive aerospace composite parts and assemblies. According to Masood Hussainy, Senior Vice President & Head of Aerostructures and Aero Engines at Tata Advanced Systems, this contract signifies a substantial stride in the enduring collaboration between Boeing and Tata. It not only underscores their commitment to co-developing India’s flourishing aerospace manufacturing ecosystem but also positions TASL as a key contributor in this dynamic partnership.

Salil Gupte, President of Boeing India, lauded TASL’s steadfast manufacturing of critical components for Boeing’s platforms, highlighting the mutual evolution of their association. This contract reinforces Boeing’s dedication to advancing manufacturing capabilities in collaboration with local partners, fostering growth both in India and on the global stage.

TASL’s contribution to Boeing extends beyond this recent agreement. The company already manufactures critical systems and components for several advanced Boeing products from its facilities in Nagpur, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. TASL’s Nagpur facility, for instance, is actively engaged in the ongoing production of advanced composite floor beams exclusively for Boeing’s 787. The joint venture in Telangana focuses on manufacturing fuselages for Apache helicopters and vertical fin structures for the 737 family. Furthermore, TASL’s Hyderabad facility has expanded its production capabilities with a new assembly line for the 737 Fan Cowls, working in tandem with the Nagpur and Bengaluru facilities.

In alignment with their commitment, TASL aims to deepen its partnership with Boeing, actively integrating India’s aerospace capabilities into the global supply chain. This collaboration not only showcases the prowess of Indian aerospace manufacturing but also positions TASL as a key player in Boeing’s global manufacturing network.
