Regional airline FLY91 will start commercial services from March 18. Flights will connect Goa to Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Additionally, FLY91 will have flight service to Sindhudurg from Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

On Tuesday, FLY91 MD and CEO Manoj Chacko said that the airline company plans to start flights to Lakshadweep from April. On March 6, the airline received its air operator permit from the aviation regulator the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

At the Mopa airport, during a briefing, Manoj Chacko said that in six months the airline will have a total of six ATR 72-600 planes. Presently, there are two planes in its fleet.

‘Connect Bharat’

“We aim to connect Bharat,” said Chacko and added that initially, it will connect 13 city pairs.

In the next five years, the company plans to have around 35 aircraft, connect 50 cities and six bases, said Chacko. The carrier, operated by Just Udo Aviation Pvt Ltd, seeks to improve air connectivity across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

Chacko said the FLY91’s first base Goa is a huge attraction for pilots.  FLY91 is a Goa-based carrier.
