The Ram Temple consecration ceremony attracted thousands of visitors to Ayodhya on January 22. Approximately 100 chartered flights were managed by the Ayodhya airport, as numerous individuals arrived in the city to participate in the consecration ceremony. About 8,000 individuals received invitations to attend the ceremony.
Busy day for Ayodhya airport
Captain R K Bali, President of the Business Aircraft Operators Association (BAOA), informed PTI that on Monday, 100 chartered flights were reserved for Ayodhya by different individuals and entities, with approximately 50 of them being business jets.
An executive from a prominent private jet operator also said that the airport managed approximately 100 flights on Monday.
Earlier on Monday, officials had predicted that the airport could see 100 flight movements, including landings and departures.
An official said on Sunday that when numerous individuals, including corporate leaders and notable personalities, arrived in Ayodhya, the airport experienced approximately 90 flight movements.
While the list of invitees comprised around 8,000 individuals, the exclusive selection highlighted 506 A-listers, encompassing notable politicians, prominent industrialists, top film stars, athletes, diplomats, judges, and high priests.
Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, business magnates Mukesh Ambani and Lakshmi N Mittal, along with cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, were among the attendees at the consecration ceremony.
