Flyers will have to pay up to Rs 1,225 as a User Development Fee (UDF) at the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport, as announced by the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA).

Domestic passengers departing from the airport will be charged Rs 620, while international departures will attract a UDF of Rs 1,225. For arriving passengers, domestic flyers will pay Rs 270 and international arrivals will be charged Rs 525, as per the approved tariff.

Till when flyers have to pay UDF?

AERA has stated that this fee has been approved on an ad-hoc basis for the financial year 2025–26 and will remain in effect until March 2026 or until the final tariff is determined, whichever comes earlier.

“The revenue to be collected by NMIAL on an ad-hoc basis in the interim period shall be accounted for by the authority during the regular tariff determination exercise of NMIA,” the order said.

User Development Fees are used to recover the costs of building, expanding and maintaining airport infrastructure. The UDF collected at Navi Mumbai International Airport will help support its state-of-the-art terminals, advanced security systems, and passenger amenities, all of which are designed to provide a seamless travel experience.
