The much-anticipated Noida International Airport is set to commence operations in April 2025. Until now, residents of Noida and Greater Noida have had to travel to Delhi for air travel. With the new airport operational, commuters will save significant time, accessing the facility conveniently located near the Yamuna Expressway. This development will streamline travel for both domestic and international passengers.

Fake news debunked

Recent reports have suggested that ticket bookings for Noida International Airport will begin in February 2025, 70 days before the airport’s opening. Financial Express, after reaching out to officials familiar with the situation, found that these claims are unverified. Authorities have not provided any official confirmation or announcement regarding ticket bookings or the airport’s exact operational timeline.

Even reports suggesting that the airport will host 30 flights, including 25 domestic services and 3 international routes to Zurich, Singapore and Dubai on the launch date are not verified. Multiple updates and news regarding the airport’s inauguration, flights and ticket bookings, have been doing rounds online, however, no official confirmation has been made regarding these timelines.

Noida International Airport’s infrastructure and fight operations

The Yamuna International Airport Pvt. Ltd has submitted a draft flight schedule for approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), with operations expected to begin seamlessly in April 2025. 

The airport is being equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure to meet passenger expectations. Essential facilities are being finalised to ensure a hassle-free experience for travelers. The first flight validation test was successfully conducted in December 2024, paving the way for the grand opening.
