Navi Mumbai International Airport: With the holiday season in full swing, travelers are hitting the roads and skies in large numbers for family gatherings and festive getaways. Adding to the excitement, Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is all set to welcome its first commercial flights on Thursday, December 25.

To make the journey smoother for passengers, NMIA has rolled out a set of easy-to-follow route-guidance videos, showing travelers the quickest and stress-free ways to reach the airport from various corners of Mumbai, helping them avoid last-minute rushes.

How to Reach NMIA from South, Central, and Western Mumbai

From South Mumbai

Passengers from areas like Colaba, Nariman Point, Mantralaya, or Gateway of India can begin via Captain Prakash Pethe Marg or Shahid Bhagat Singh Road, continuing to P D’Mello Road and joining the Eastern Express Highway. Travelers from Parel, Worli, or Mahalaxmi can use Acharya Dhonde Marg, Dr E. Moses Road, or Keshavrao Khadye Marg to connect with the highway. After crossing Thane Creek via Atal Setu, taking the left exit at Chirle onto NH-48 leads to Amra Marg and the Western Main Entrance of NMIA, directly connecting to Terminal 1.

From Western Suburbs

Passengers from Bandra, BKC, Vile Parle, Andheri, Malad, or Borivali can use the Western Express Highway and Santacruz–Chembur Link Road (SCLR). Travelers from Powai can take JVLR to the Eastern Express Highway, then proceed via Jizabai Bhosle Marg at Mankhurd, Sion–Panvel Highway, Vashi Bridge, and Palm Beach Road, finally reaching Amra Marg and NMIA’s entrance. Alternate routes from Bandra and Worli via Lady Jamshedji Road, Tilak Road, and Nadkarni Marg are also available.

Routes from Central Mumbai and Thane-Airoli-Ghansoli

From Central Mumbai

Passengers from Dadar, Sion, or Chembur can start via Eastern Express Highway. From Sion, travelers can take R A Kidwai Marg and V N Purav Marg via Chembur to reach the Eastern Freeway, connecting to Atal Setu. After crossing Thane Creek, the left exit onto NH-348 leads to Amra Marg and NMIA’s Western Main Entrance. Chembur travelers can also use Sion–Panvel Highway and Palm Beach Road to reach Amra Marg.

From Thane, Airoli, and Ghansoli

Passengers from Thane can use local roads to reach Thane–Belapur Road. Travelers from Airoli or Ghansoli can join Thane–Belapur and continue to Sion–Panvel Highway. A turn near Ghansoli leads to Amra Marg via NMMC Junction flyover, taking the left lanes to NMIA’s Western Main Entrance and the ramp to Terminal 1.
