Domestic airline Zooom is set to relaunch its services with a special flight from the national capital to Ayodhya, marking its return to the Indian aviation scene. The inaugural flight, scheduled for Wednesday (January 31), will herald the airline’s renewed commitment to regional connectivity in the country.

Zooom Airlines services on Delhi-Ayodhya route

The airline announced that the first flight will utilise a Bombardier CRJ 200ER aircraft for services on the highly anticipated Delhi-Ayodhya route. Ayodhya, known for its spiritual significance, has emerged as one of India’s most sought-after destinations for religious tourism, making it a strategic choice for Zooom’s relaunch.

“We are delighted to announce the relaunch of Zooom, with services connecting Ayodhya and Delhi. Zooom is dedicated to enhancing regional connectivity in India,” stated Atul Gambhir, CEO of Zooom Airlines, expressing the airline’s enthusiasm for its comeback.

DGCA renewed flying permit of Zexus Air Services

Zooom’s revival comes after the aviation regulator, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), renewed the flying permit of Zexus Air Services in September 2023. Previously operating under the name Zoom Airlines, the Gurugram-based carrier had initially commenced operations in February 2017 with a CRJ aircraft. However, operational challenges led to a temporary halt in its services in 2020.

The relaunch of Zooom Airlines signifies a renewed vigor in the Indian aviation sector, particularly in the realm of regional connectivity.

As Zooom Airlines prepares to take flight once again, passengers can anticipate a seamless and comfortable travel experience, coupled with the airline’s commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction to Ayodhya.
