A two-seater trainer aircraft went missing shortly after taking off from the Sonari aerodrome in Jharkhand’s East Singhbhum district on Tuesday, prompting a large-scale search operation, officials reported.
The aircraft, owned by Alchemist Aviation, departed from Jamshedpur around 11 am with two people on board. The aircraft was last traced near Nimdih in the Seraikela-Kharsawan district, according to East Singhbhum’s Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal.
Extensive Search Operations Across Districts
Authorities, including the administrations of East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan districts, along with the police and Forest Department, have launched an extensive search to locate the missing aircraft. Search operations are concentrated around Nimdih, with additional efforts being made in the adjacent Purulia district of West Bengal.
The disappearance of the aircraft has raised concerns, and the search teams are working tirelessly to find any signs of the missing trainer plane. Further updates are expected as the search operation continues.
