IndiGo has announced a significant increase in its flight services between Delhi and Aizawl, doubling the frequency from five to ten flights per week starting Saturday. The new schedule will include daily flights, with two additional services on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, according to an official statement.

Chief Minister Lalduhoma inaugurated the expanded flight services at Lengpui Airport near Aizawl on Saturday, where he also distributed boarding passes to passengers. During the event, he expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and IndiGo for accommodating his request to enhance flight frequency.

Lalduhoma highlighted that the additional flights would not only facilitate better air travel but also strengthen Mizoram’s connections with the rest of India in various sectors, promoting economic, cultural, and social integration.

IndiGo’s special director, R K Singh, noted that the airline’s decision to increase its flight services aims to boost economic growth and foster socio-cultural ties between Mizoram and the wider country.
