GMR Hyderabad International Airport proudly on Monday announced that it has received the prestigious Airport Service Quality (ASQ) award for ‘Best Airport in the 15 to 25 Million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA)’ category in the Asia-Pacific region for 2023.

Out of the 400 airports worldwide that participated in the 2023 survey, GMR Hyderabad International Airport has once again been honoured in the annual Airports Council International (ACI) ASQ survey, according to a statement released.

Pradeep Panicker, CEO of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited, expressed gratitude, stating, “We owe this recognition to the team and all airport stakeholders for their dedication, tireless hardwork, and commitment.”

He further emphasized the airport’s ongoing expansion efforts, highlighting the addition of new facilities and infrastructure within the terminal and airside areas. These improvements, he noted, play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency, improving customer convenience, and elevating the overall airport experience.

Two-time winner of the ‘Best Airport by Size and Region’

The release mentioned that in 2018, GMR Hyderabad International Airport achieved the impressive rank of World No. 4 in the 15 – 25 MPPA category. Furthermore, it was honoured as the ‘Best Airport by Size and Region’ in the Asia-Pacific region for both 2019 and 2020 in the same category.

Additionally, the release added that in 2022, the airport received recognition as the ‘Best Airport by Size and Region’ in the 15-25 Million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA) category in the Asia-Pacific region.
