Regional air carrier FLY91 announced on Tuesday the launch of new flight services connecting Solapur with Mumbai and Goa, set to begin on December 23.

With the introduction of these two direct routes — Goa-Solapur and Mumbai-Solapur — the airline will expand its network to a total of nine destinations, FLY91 stated. The Goa-based airline began its operations in March of this year.

The addition of these two new direct routes underscores the airline’s commitment to enhancing regional connectivity, in line with the Central Government’s UDAN scheme. This initiative aims to improve air travel accessibility and connectivity in underserved and remote regions, the airline added.

“FLY91 will be the only airline providing direct connectivity between Mumbai, the country’s commercial capital and Solapur, renowned as a textile hub, a major centre of industry and a pilgrimage hub. Connecting with Goa will open up Goa as a conveniently reachable tourism destination for the residents of Solapur,” Manoj Chacko, Managing Director and CEO of FLY91, said.

FLY91 currently operates flights connecting cities including Mumbai, Pune, Jalgaon, Sindhudurg, and Solapur in Maharashtra, as well as Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Agatti in Lakshadweep.
