Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated flight services connecting Dehradun to Ayodhya, Amritsar and Varanasi with Alliance Air flights cooperation.
In the flag-of ceremony on Wednesday at the Jollygrant Airport, CM Dhami said, “Our endeavour is to make the movement of people in Uttarakhand convenient, simple and easy. For this, we are continuously making efforts.”
Improving transportation
Dhami emphasised the state government’s motive of making better transportation for the convenience of Uttarakhand people. He added, “Under the leadership of the prime minister, unprecedented progress has been made in every sector, including the air services sector.”
Passengers travelling to Ayodhya by flight can avail of tickets at a discounted rate of Rs 1,999 each until March 20, after which the fare will increase to Rs 7,006 per ticket. This move aims to facilitate affordable travel to Ayodhya, reflecting the government’s commitment to enhancing air connectivity and promoting tourism in the region.
Helicopter services from Haldwani
He announced the launch of air services from Dehradun to Pithoragarh and back, along with helicopter services from Haldwani to Champawat, Munsiyari, and Pithoragarh. Dhami interacted with passengers on a flight to Ayodhya, offering them blessings for a safe journey amid chants of “Jai Shri Ram.”
