Delhi’s airport faced significant disruptions as low visibility and dense fog disrupted air operations. The adverse weather conditions have impacted both departures and arrivals, prompting travelers to stay informed about the evolving situation.
Several flights have been delayed at the city’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) as thick fog reduced visibility to lower levels in several areas, posing challenges for both travelers and airline operators.
Delhi Airport issues passengers advisory
The Airport authorities have urged the passengers to check real-time updates and make necessary adjustments to their travel plans in light of the prevailing challenges at the airport.
The reduced visibility has compelled airport authorities to implement stringent safety measures, including reduced runway capacity and increased intervals between take-offs and landings.
“While landing and takeoffs continue at Delhi Airport, flights that are not CAT III compliant may get affected. Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight information. Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted,” Delhi Airport mentioned on X.
