Cathay Pacific on Thursday (January 9) announced that it will increase the frequency of its Chennai-Hong Kong flights starting March 2, 2025. The airline also revealed the introduction of premium economy class seats on this route to enhance travel options for passengers.

Between January 2 and March 1, 2025, the flights on the Chennai-Hong Kong route will operate four times a week. From March 2 to March 30, the frequency will rise to five weekly flights to meet growing demand and improve connectivity, the airline stated.

Currently, Cathay Pacific operates 35 flights per week connecting four Indian cities—Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai. This includes 14 flights per week from Delhi, 10 from Mumbai, seven from Bengaluru, and four from Chennai.

The airline will deploy its wide-body Airbus A350-900 aircraft on the Chennai-Hong Kong route. The aircraft features business, premium economy, and economy cabins, offering a range of travel options.

“We are introducing our premium economy cabin to the Chennai market, which is a key destination for us,” Cathay Regional Head for Customer Travel and Lifestyle, Anand Yedery, said.
