India’s largest airline IndiGo on Monday announced a direct route between Bengaluru and Agatti set to debut on March 31, bolstering connectivity to the picturesque Lakshadweep archipelago.
This new route makes Agatti as the 88th domestic and 121st overall destination in IndiGo’s expansive network. Commencing from March 31, the service between Bengaluru and Agatti will be facilitated by ATR aircraft, accommodating approximately 78 passengers per flight.
IndiGo highlighted Agatti place as a popular destination, citing its appeal to enthusiasts of deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, sailing, skiing, and kayaking. Additionally, the island is positioned as an ideal launchpad for exploring neighboring uninhabited gems such as Bangaram, Pitti, Thinnakara, Parali-I, and Parali-II, IndiGo added.
Presently, Alliance Air is the sole carrier offering services to Agatti, while FLY91, a regional carrier, aims to commence operations to the destination come April.
With a robust schedule exceeding 2,000 flights daily, IndiGo continues to fortify its position as a leading player in the aviation industry.
