Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath jointly flagged off the first Air India Express flight connecting Ayodhya to Kolkata and Bengaluru. The event marks a significant development in enhancing air connectivity to Ayodhya. CM Adityanath, speaking via video-conferencing, highlighted the state’s pivotal role in India’s development and expressed optimism about the upcoming consecration ceremony of the Ram temple on January 22.

Uttar Pradesh’s Air Connectivity Milestones

Adityanath highlighted the significant progress in air connectivity within Uttar Pradesh, with new airports established in the last nine years. He pointed out the inauguration of the Maharishi Valmiki airport in Ayodhya and the commencement of flight services connecting Ayodhya to Kolkata, further enhancing the state’s air connectivity.

Ayodhya’s Future as a Premier Tourist Destination

CM Adityanath envisioned Ayodhya becoming a prominent tourist destination, not only for local devotees but also on a national and global scale. He praised the civil aviation ministry’s efforts to facilitate the movement of devotees and emphasized the symbolic and cultural importance of Ayodhya.

Historic Temple Consecration Ceremony Approaches

Highlighting the significance of the upcoming temple consecration ceremony after a 500-year wait, Adityanath expressed the nation’s curiosity and eagerness to reach Ayodhya. He outlined the achievements, including infrastructure developments like four-lane connectivity, railway line doubling, cruise services on the Sarayu River, and the international airport.

Cooperation between Civil Aviation Ministry and State Government

Adityanath assured the cooperation of the Uttar Pradesh government with the civil aviation ministry’s plans. He revealed the provision of 821 acres of land in Ayodhya for the international airport, expressing readiness to support future initiatives for the benefit of Ayodhya and its visitors.
