India’s Air Traffic On The Rise
For those unaware, the overall passenger number in May 2023 had increased by 3.26 lakhs (2.52%) as compared to April 23. The significant surge in the number of air passengers shows the robust and enduring nature of India’s aviation sector, highlighting ongoing efforts to enhance connectivity and provide convenient travel options for our nation’s residents.
With a load factor of 6.36 million passengers recorded from January to May 2023, there is clear evidence of an increasing demand for air travel. It’s worth noting here that India is among the world’s fastest-growing civil aviation markets.
Minister of State for Civil Aviation, V K Singh, also highlighted that the responsibilities of air traffic controllers will expand in tandem with the increasing air traffic.
