Airbus has inked a deal with Heligo Charter Private Limited, signing an HCare Initial contract for their six Airbus H145 helicopters utilized in both offshore and onshore operations across India. This comprehensive by-the-hour services contract spans five years, empowering Heligo with Airbus’ HCare Initial program.
This program allows for the replacement of scheduled and unscheduled components within 24 hours, all while maintaining a fixed rate per hour of helicopter operation. The objective is to reduce Heligo’s maintenance costs and eliminate the need for a regular inventory, ultimately enhancing fleet availability for more streamlined operations.
Nayan Jagjivan, Chairman of Heligo Charters Private Limited, expressed pride in being the first operator to introduce Airbus Helicopters’ 5-bladed H145 fleet for offshore operations in India. Once these helicopters are delivered, Heligo is set to possess the largest H145 fleet in India, serving both offshore and onshore missions. Jagjivan emphasized the H145’s modern, multi-role suitability for Indian conditions, offering exceptional performance and operational economics.
Sunny Guglani, Head of Airbus Helicopters, Airbus India, and South Asia, congratulated the Heligo team for securing the recent offshore contract with the H145s. The HCare Initial by-the-hour contract, marking Airbus’ largest such agreement with an Indian operator, is anticipated to ensure efficient operations for the H145 fleet, maximizing their availability.
The H145, as part of Airbus’ twin-engine rotorcraft product range, is designed with mission capability and flexibility, particularly in high and hot operating conditions. Its compact size and a large, flexible cabin allow manoeuvrability in complex environments, such as oil and gas helidecks.
HCare, Airbus Helicopters’ comprehensive services offer, encompasses Material Management, Helicopter Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) and upgrades, Technical Support, Training & Flight Operations, and Connected Services. With this contract, Heligo’s entire Airbus helicopter fleet will benefit from the HCare Initial By-the-Hour program, contributing to efficient and supported operations.
