Great news for Kerala expatriates as Air India Express has launched a direct flight service between Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, and Thiruvananthapuram. Thiruvananthapuram International Airport Ltd (TIAL) announced the new route on Tuesday, bringing joy to many Keralites living in the Gulf. This direct connection marks a significant expansion in the air network between these two regions.

AI Express Onam gift for Kerala

The airline introduced its first flight on this route on September 9 as an Onam gift to Keralites who are living in Saudi Arabia.

Air India Express flight number IX 521 will provide its services every Monday and will depart from Thiruvananthapuram at 7:55 PM and will arrive in Riyadh at 10:40 PM. The return flight number IX 522 will depart from Riyadh on the same day at 11:20 PM and will reach Thiruvananthapuram by 7:30 am the next morning. The airline also mentioned that it has a direct flight to Damman, Saudi Arabia from Thiruvananthapuram, as stated by TIAL.

The newly launched service will not only benefit the people of Kerala but it helps out those who are living in Saudi Arabia and are from Tamil Nadu.

Recently, Agartala was added as the 32nd domestic destination by the Air India Express. The airline stated that it has started daily direct flights from Agartala to Guwahati and Kolkata. Now, flyers will be able to enjoy 14 daily direct flights to Guwahati and Kolkata. The airline also provides one-stop connections to Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Chennai, Jaipur, Kochi, Imphal, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
