Due to ongoing disruptions in operations caused by heavy rainfall, Air India has announced the cancellation of its flights to and from Dubai.
The airline announced on Friday, its efforts to accommodate affected customers on flights as soon as operations resume.
It added that customers who booked flights with valid tickets for travel until April 21 will receive a one-time waiver on rescheduling and full refunds for cancellations

Air India mentioned on social media platform X that it regrets to inform passengers about the cancellation of its flights to and from Dubai due to ongoing operational disruptions at Dubai Airport. Efforts are underway to re-accommodate affected customers on flights as soon as operations resume. Passengers booked on Air India flights with valid tickets for travel until April 21, 2024, will receive a one-time waiver for rescheduling and full refunds for cancellations.
This announcement comes amidst heavy rains that have struck the United Arab Emirates, leading to flood-like conditions.
In response to the situation, the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi has issued an advisory for Indian passengers traveling to or transiting through the airport, recommending the rescheduling of non-essential travel until flight operations return to normalcy.
The Indian consulate in Dubai has also activated emergency helpline numbers to assist passengers during this time.
Dubai International Airport has temporarily restricted the number of inbound flights due to unprecedented weather conditions.
On Thursday, the Consulate General of India in Dubai reiterated that they are in constant communication with UAE authorities and airlines. They are actively working to reconnect stranded Indian passengers with their families.
Additionally, they noted that relief efforts have been expanded through collaboration with Indian community organizations.
