Maruti Suzuki, country’s largest carmaker has unveiled the Fronx, a coupe SUV at the Auto Expo 2023. The Fronx is based on the Baleno platform and features a bold front design.

The Fronx is flaunting a tall stance and a muscular silhouette with square wheel arches. It features a Nexwave grille and an all-black front fascia.

At the rear, the Fronx is featuring an appealing design which makes it look apart from the Baleno hatchback. For the first time in Maruti Suzuki cars it comes equipped with connected LED lights that run across the tailgate.

It features a 9-inch vertical infotainment system compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, it also gets a 360-degree camera 6 speaker Arkamy’s music system, a wireless phone charger, paddle shifters and Head-up display.

Inside the cabin Fronx gets a dual-tone dashboard. Despite this, it lacks some popular features like a sunroof and ventilated front seats. A total of 40 connected features are available on the Fronx thanks to Suzuki Connect.

The Fronx range comes loaded with safety features like six airbags for the top two trims, ISOFIX child seats, Electronic Stability Program, Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD and brake assist and much more.

Maruti Suzuki is offering the Fronx in two engine options- a 1-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated unit. The turbo petrol engine is available in two transmissions, the 5-speed manual and the 6-speed automatic torque converter. The Boosterjet comes in three trims — Delta+, Zeta and Alpha.

Bookings for the same are now open. One can book it online on the company’s website or by visiting the nearest Maruti Suzuki dealership. It will rival the likes of Tata Nexon, Honda WR-V, Hyundai Venue etc.
