The all-new Hyundai Ioniq 5 has been launched in India at an introductory starting price of Rs 44.95 lakh, ex-showroom. This introductory pricing will be valid for the first 500 customers only.

Bookings for the same are already open and deliveries are expected to commence soon. One can book the Hyundai Ioniq 5 online on the company’s official website for a token amount of Rs 1 lakh.

The India-spec Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV gets a 72.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It is claimed to offer a driving range of 631 km on a single charge (ARAI-certified).

It is based on Hyundai’s new Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) and offered in India in an RWD version. This electric crossover’s electric motor develops 214 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque.

The Ioniq 5 is also capable of supporting ultra-fast 800V charging. With a 350 kW DC charger, the Ioniq 5’s battery pack can be juiced up from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes.

This EV is also equipped with V2L (vehicle-to-load) technology that allows the customers to power electrical appliances up to 3.6 kW from inside and outside the vehicle.

In terms of features, the Ioniq 5 is loaded up to the brim. It gets two massive 12.3-inch screens (one for the infotainment system and the other for a digital cluster), a head-up display, ADAS (advance driver assistance systems), and many more.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has been launched in India at Rs 44.95 lakh, ex-showroom and introductory. It is assembled in India unlike its cousin Kia EV6 which is imported to India as a CBU. The Ioniq 5 takes on the like of the Kia EV6, Volvo XC40 Recharge, etc.
