With reference to your editorial (?An informed economy?, Dec 17), the fact that only one-third of the Indian IT sector?s output is accounted for by domestic consumption should be taken seriously. The enhanced use of IT to hasten India?s emergence is good advice. In this context, India needs a three-pronged strategy involving e-education, e-business and above all, e-governance. With all three in sync, India will do well.

Salvage Gujarat

Apropos the sad news that exit polls predict the return of Narendra Modi to power?in Gujarat, we feel sorry for the people of this state who have fallen?prey yet again to the Satanic designs of Modi. Despite?all the efforts?made by peacelovers all over the country to ensure the defeat of the Modern Nero, if the people of Gujarat?still return the man responsible for the heinous acts committed in 2002, post Godhra, we have no alternative but to hope that justice shall someday be done and this is just a temporary aberration.
