For Lalit Modi, IPL chairman and commissioner, life doesn?t stop at IPL 3. On several occasions he has said, ?I don?t know how I will make IPL 4 bigger than this season?. Modi talks about his plans for IPL 3.

On IPL 3

IPL 3 is definitely different, because this season we have made some landmark announcements.

On the Google deal

I?m extremely proud of the fact that a $200 billion global giant is ready to partner with IPL. We are a two-year-old organisation and Google has seen our performance.

On monetisating the deals

The writing is on the wall. We have just started and are at the tip of the iceberg and all of these will translate into monetisation and will go back to the franchisees at the end of the day. The process of how it will be monetised will start now.

On IPL going abroad

There is no reason why we should not take the IPL carnival to our fans worldwide. We will find gaps in the calendar, maybe a few weekends in August or September up to a few days here and there, where a shorter version of IPL can be played. We are looking around the world and it can be any place?US, UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Middle East, Africa and

Europe. Moreover, with the YouTube deal, we will now be able to monitor where our fan base lies and from which country we are getting the maximum clicks. I?m sure by this summer and by the latter part of this year we will be able to get a few slots here and there and we will start experimenting with it.
