•Define Tigmanshu Dhulia…

Tigmanshu Dhulia is a dual personality. On the one hand he is shy, naive, vulnerable and gentle, on the other he is aggressive, cautious and has an ego. Being sensitive as well as aggressive, here?s a man who knows his limitations and strengths yet loves to cross the boundary. In other words it?s like a leopard on the verge of extinction. Both the personalities are in constant conflict and that brings out the little creativity that is inside. A rare name, Tigmanshu, means ?the sun? that keeps me bright.

•What does success mean to you?

Success has many categories. I don?t crave for lots of money but I enjoy a bit of luxury. And what I always aim to achieve is respect, and that?s what defines success for me. I want to be known as a wealthy man who owned a small cottage in the hills but when he dies, there is a huge traffic jam in the city. It does bring with it a responsibility as it turns you into an example that will be watched forever. I might not want to be known only as a film-maker.

•What is your biggest strength?

My biggest strength is the fear of losing my self respect. And that?s what always keeps me on my toes so that I may slowdown. That drives me on the right track.

•Describe ?life? as a journey…

Life is an intense, thought-provoking, dramatic, heroic, beautiful film, which I am watching as a ten-year old. Enjoying my popcorn… and I don?t want this film to ever end.

•What works as a stress buster for you?

I?m a Cancerian, and you could say stress is my second name. I bust stress by cooking, something I really love doing. I also watch films. Primary Colours, Frost/Nixon, All the President?s Men, are a couple of films that come in my all time favourites list.

•God to you is….?

God is faith. And faith comes from strength. Strength that humbles you, motivates you to do something good for others. What you could get in return could be a simple ?thank you? or just a smile but that small gesture gives you a volume in return. God helps me to be a better person. He keeps an eye on the devil inside me as well.
