Sybase, the global enterprise software company, is in talks with various state governments in India for entering into agreements for data management and consolidation work.

Under the proposed agreements, Sybase will provide the transferring and storing of documents into data format through database management software systems. The company will operate through its entity, Sybase Software India Pvt Ltd.

Currently, the company is learnt to be in talks with state governments of Jharkhand and Karnataka. The company is set to begin talks with other state governments for similar deals. Sybase will be providing additional services like geographical information system (GIS) and enterprise mobility, apart from data management.

A source close to the development said, ?We are in talks with various state governments including Jharkhand and Karnataka.? However, he refused to divulge the financial details of the deals.?
