SBI Mutual Fund could list its close-ended SBI Capital Protection Oriented Fund Series -1, the first capital protection-oriented fund by it after three years.
The close-ended fund, with a five-year maturity period would be benchmarked to CRISIL MIP Blended Index. The new fund offer closes on November 23.
The main objective of the five-year fund would be to protect the capital invested through focused investments in debt and money market instruments as well as equity, said SBI Mutual Fund MD S Shahabuddin.
The fund would also try to provide investors with opportunities for long-term growth in capital. It has been assigned an AAA(so) rating by Crisil. The fund would invest a minimum 73% in debt instruments
