Lanco Infra cash profit jumps 118%
Diversified infrastructure company Lanco Infratech on Tuesday reported a 118% jump in cash profit at Rs 402 crore in the January-March 2010 quarter on the back of increased revenue from power generation and trading. Profit after tax (PAT) increased 4% to Rs 158 crore while operating revenue grew 14% to Rs 2,942 crore during the period. Revenue from power business increased from Rs 703 crore to Rs 1,360 crore during the quarter. Revenue from the construction business fell 13% to Rs 1,610 crore. The cash profit for 2009-10 jumped 89% to Rs 975 crore. Operating revenue rose 36% to Rs 9,457 crore during the period.
Ansal FY10 net grows 131%
Real estate developer Ansal API on Tuesday reported a 131% rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 71 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2010. The company posted a net profit of Rs 30.69 crore in 2008-09, it said in a statement here. Ansal API’s total income grew 15% to Rs 871.32 crore in 2009-10 compared with Rs 756.32 crore in the previous fiscal.
Nirma Q4 net dips 57% at Rs 25 crore
FMCG manufacturer Nirma on Tuesday reported a decline of 57% in net profit to Rs 25.99 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2010, over the same period last year. Net sales dropped to Rs 773 crore in the anuary-March quarter, from Rs 823.49 crore in the same period last year, Nirma said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange.
