Refined soya oil prices slipped by Rs 8 to Rs 636.70 per 10 kg in futures trading on Tuesday as speculators booked profits at existing high levels, driven by weak trend at spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in April slipped by Rs 8, or 1.24 per cent, to Rs 636.70 per 10 kg, with a business volume of just one lot.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in March declined by Rs 7.60, or 1.20 per cent, to Rs 626 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of just two lots.

Analysts said profit booking by speculators at existing high levels, subdued demand in the spot market mainly pulled down refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
