IT services provider Patni Computer Systems said its consolidated net profit rose by 14.13 per cent to Rs 135.97 crore for the second quarter ended June 30 over the same period last year.
Total income rose to Rs 784.18 crore in the latest quarter against Rs 769.13 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal, Patni Computer said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
“While growth visibility is shallow in short-run, we are working aggressively to realign our overall operations and leverage the changing times to build sustainable competitive advantage in our business,” Patni Computer CEO Jeya Kumar said.
On standalone basis, the company has posted a growth of 52.85 per cent in its net profit to Rs 146.66 crore for the second quarter.
Total income rose to Rs 431.34 crore in the quarter under review, against Rs 367.50 crore in the same period last year.
Shares of Patni Computer were trading at Rs 302 on the BSE, up 3.71 per cent from previous close.
