A print, scan and copy machine for small businesses and home offices

The Panasonic KX-MB 1536 printer has a light and compact body that is meant to help small offices save on vital space. The slanted control panel lets you use the printer in a very convenient way. It connects to PC through USB and Ethernet ports.

The input tray has a 150-sheet capacity with a 15-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF) for automatically copying and scanning documents. The easy print utility feature lets users merge and print files created with different applications. The multi function device contains other useful features like Quick ID for copying, colour scanner and digital speakerphone.

We used an ISO standard page for checking the performance of the device. It clocked 18 seconds to print the first page with a total of 17 prints in a minute at 600 x 600 dpi resolution. The prints were of good quality. The device supports network but not wireless printing, and there is no duplex or USB direct printing feature either. It is a nice copier with an output of 17 cpm at 600 x 600 dpi with the first copy taking 10 seconds. You can have a maximum of 99 copies at a time with the reduction/enlargement range of 25% to 400%.

The scan quality is impressive and it took 19 seconds to scan a page. You can send the scan output to a PC, via email, FTP or even an SMS. However, you can consider the Canon MF4450 that comes at a similar price but scores in almost every function, especially with providing duplex printing support.

If space and price is a constraint, then you can opt for this Panasonic machine.
