RIL will be ready to supply gas from KG-basin this year. The government has given fertiliser plants top priority on supply. By the time gas from K-G basin is available, a distribution network should be in place to avoid any demand-supply mismatch. Imports should remain unaffected by the additional domestic supply. They should rather be increased, gas being more environmentally friendly and cheaper to crude oil.
