Engineering major Larsen and Toubro (L&T) said it has bagged two projects worth Rs 853 crore from two different firms for construction related projects.
The company has secured an order worth Rs 364 crore from Uttar Pradesh, Rajya Vidut Utpadan Nigam for setting up a coal
handling plant at Anpara in the state, L&T said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
It has also received a contract worth Rs 489 crore from Neyveli Lignite Corporation for similar work at Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, the company said.
The contracts were awarded to the company during the first quarter of the current financial year (2009-10), L&T said.
These projects includes works in engineering, electrical and commissioning.
Shares of L&T were trading at Rs 1,516.05, down 0.22 per cent in the late afternoon trade on the BSE.
