What does success mean to you?

Success has different meanings, depending on the stage of one?s life. When I was young, it was succeeding in academics and sports. As I grew older, it got measured through my patients eyes…where their endorsements were the measure. When I was teaching, it was the ability to simplify and get the message across to my students. Today, success through the various evolutionary steps means taking all of the past learnings and the ability to make a ?positive? change to the society, the country, the healthcare industry, infact the lives of all the people I work with.

What is your biggest strength?

My strong character to which my family contributes greatly. Also, the ability to listen without prejudice and people management. I try to recognise a person?s strengths and build on that, rather than trying to correct their weaknesses.

What works as a stress busterfor you?

Strange as it may seem, I have the ability to not ?take in? stress. I address issues as they arise. I am very transparent and don?t have a hidden agenda. As a result I don?t do things to expect anything but only because that?s what should be done , keeping in mind all the needs of the stakeholders involved. Life is about being! I do enjoy the outdoors, music, especially sufi music and literature. I enjoy stimulating company and I am grateful to have a highly intelligent companion by my side, my wife.

God to you is…

God to me is The Truth, the Presence, the Creator. I have absolute faith in God and His energy. I am constantly trying to achieve closeness to The Being. I believe in giving my best to life, and leaving the result to Him.
