After being in the dock for pending dues on aviation turbine fuel, Vijay Mallya?s Kingfisher Airlines has been penalised with a fine of Rs 26.46 crore for delay in the payment of tax deduction at source (TDS). Two other private airlines ? Spicejet and MDLR ? also did not pay their TDS on time.

?In case of Kingfisher Airlines Pvt Ltd, a penalty of Rs 26.46 crore for the delayed remittance of deducted tax has been levied,? minister of state for finance SS Palanimanickam said in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha
