Power transmission and engineering company KEC International said it has bagged four orders totaling Rs 471 crore from various vendors.

The company has bagged two orders worth Rs 364 crore from North East Transmission Company and two orders valued at Rs 107 crore from West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company, aggregating to Rs 471 crore, KEC International said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

“We have been consistently winning orders from the Central and State utilities and this reinforces our leadership position in the domestic market,” KEC International MD & CEO Ramesh Chandak said.

The company has received two orders worth Rs 364 crore from North East Transmission Company (a joint venture of ONGC, IL&FS and Government of Tripura) for supply of towers, hardware and construction of power lines, to be completed by February 2012, the filing added.

Further, the company has bagged two orders valued at Rs 107 crore from West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company for supply of towers, line material and construction of power lines, it added.

Shares of KEC International were trading at Rs 442.50 on the BSE, up 4.28 per cent from previous close.
