India and Pakistan for the first time have raised the issues relating to Kabul embassy bombing and ceasefire violations by Pakistan at their two-day meeting of the national security advisors, which began here on Monday.

Both the countries believed to have looked at ways by which ceasefire violations could be ended.

Responding to media queries on the sidelines of a function, foreign secretary Shivshankar Menon, said that all issues would be discussed with Pakistan NSA Mahmud Ali Durrani. These include the Kabul embassy bombing, ceasefire violations and the situation on the border.

Durrani, who arrived here on Saturday on a five-day visit, began talks with his Indian counterpart MK Narayanan on the security situation in the region and combating terrorism.

??The talks have just begun, we will discuss all issues. Durrani is an old friend…He has interest in India-Pakistan relations,?? Menon said when asked whether India would raise the issue of Kabul embassy bombing at the talks and give some evidence (of ISI involvement) to the Pakistani side.

The talks between the NSAs were a follow-up to the meeting between Singh and Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari in New York last month on the margins of UN general assembly.

Referring to the outcome of the PM-Zardari meeting, Menon said, ??You have seen the joint statement and the determination to do something about these issues that affect us all.??

India has been asking Pakistan to fulfill its promises of not allowing its territories for anti-India activities to facilitate forward movement in bilateral ties which have gone through ??difficult times?? recently.

Narayanan will host a lunch in honour of his Pakistani counterpart on Tuesday. Durrani will also call on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, external affairs minister Pranab Mukherjee and BJP president Rajnath Singh on Tuesday and will leave for Lahore on Wednesday.
