Synergy Communications, maker of popular shows like Kaun Banega Crorepati and Jhalak Dikhla Ja, is all set to beam the second series of Jhalak Dikhla Ja from September 28.

The programme will go on air every Friday and Saturday at 9pm.

The show is an adaptation of BBC’s Dance with the Stars. Other adaptations of the show have been hugely successful across 27 countries such as the US, Britain, Australia, New Zealand and Italy.

According to Albert Almeida, executive vice-president and business head of Sony Entertainment Television (SET), the company believes that the second edition of the show will also be a hit and achieve impressive TRPs owing to quality brand and innovative content.

“We are confident that our second series will give us equal feedback, what we got in the Jhalak 1,” he said.

Tapur Chatterjee, noted model, who has been invited to join the show, said it is a challenge for her.

Ronit Roy, currently the highest paid actor of Indian television, recollects that he had no money to learn music and dance when he wanted. “Now, I have enough money to learn, but the problem is time. That is why, I am emotionally involved with the show,” he said.

The show will feature 12 celebrities from different fields of the glamour world.
