* I love my brand because: It embodies the entrepreneurial spirit and encourages employees to be customer focused.

* My job is great: There are so many reasons, I get a chance to market Dell?s products to different customer segments and that is an interesting challenge for me. On one hand, I communicate to chief technology officers in big companies on how Dell can meet their IT needs, on the other, I interact with small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and tell them how technology can help transform their business and finally we brainstorm on how to increase PC penetration in homes and reduce the digital divide. It has a blend of mass media and direct marketing, business2consumer and business2business, transactional and relationship marketing.

* The turning point in my career: Dell had been fairly successful in selling to large enterprises in India but we needed a strong marketing strategy to drive adoption by SMEs. The communication strategy we adopted in India was the first ever brand campaign in the history of the company, anywhere in the world. The success of the strategy within the organisation was so tremendous that it was run globally in close to 10 other countries.

* The first thing I do when I reach office: Talk to my team, solve urgent issues and grab an overview of the top news of the day.

* My favourite social networking site: I find that LinkedIn is a good networking site for professionals and Facebook is a great tool for consumers, especially the youth.

* In my free time I like to: I like to spend my free time with my wife and two young sons travelling and exploring places with exotic wildlife.

* Brands I wear: I like experimenting with brands but with a little help from my wife. However, for clothing, fit and comfort come first.

* Average number of job offers I get in a year: I have a very enriching and challenging role at Dell. In addition to that, I?m supported by a set of very competitive and collaborative colleagues who allow me to focus on work and not get distracted by other offers

* First thing I do after entering the office: I come into office an hour before the others do. This gives me enough time to organise my thoughts, think about the big picture and jot down critical tasks that I need to get done.

* Most inspirational moment: It has to be when I met Michael Dell for the first time. To shake hands with a business Icon who started a company from a college dorm and built it into a $60 billion global company, was really inspiring.
