The Furniture Mall, a venture of the Euro Group, unveils its new store of 12,000 sq ft at Kirti Nagar, New Delhi. Bedroom sets, dining sets, children?s room furniture, bar units, recliners, cabinets, sofas, office desks, chairs etc are available at the store. The Home D?cor section comprises artifacts, paintings, pottery, flower arrangements, lamps shades among others.
Ardi, the oldest skeleton
Discovery Channel has announced the premiere of a two-hour special, Discovering Ardi, documenting the sustained, intensive investigation leading up to the landmark publication of the Ardipithecus ramidus fossils of a 4.4 million-year-old female partial skeleton nicknamed ‘Ardi’. Discovery
Channel has been granted exclusive broadcast rights for Discovering Ardi, which is scheduled to premiere in November. Discovery has also launched a website, http://www.discovery.com/ardi. It is produced for Discovery Channel by Primary Pictures.
Clarks and Future Group form JV to retail footwear in India
Winner Sports, a specialist footwear/sports division of Future Group and a leading UK shoe retailer, Clarks, have agreed to form a joint venture to build a strong Clarks brand retail footwear in India. Winner Sports runs the multi-brand sports speciality chain Planet Sports and is the India licensee cum distributor for retailing and marketing several international brands including Converse, Speedo, Wilson and Skechers. The two companies are developing a business plan to relaunch the brand from Spring 2011.
Google India offers free advertising option to SMBs
With the objective to bring the power of internet advertising to small businesses, Google India has started an initiative to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to leverage their online advertising campaigns on Google?s AdWords platform for free. According to reports, with Google?s AdWords platform, they no longer have to worry as they can start advertising with a budget as low as Rs 200 per day and grow it as per their business demand. The demand for online search engine advertising by SMEs is on a growth path.
