Anuradha Prasad promoted production company BAG Film and Media Ltd and Touchstone Communications figure among the 13 production houses, which have been blacklisted by the public broadcaster Doordarshan. Prasar Bharti has banned 13 production companies since April this year for a period of two years. The public broadcaster alleged that the blacklisted production companies had submitted either blank tapes or tapes of repeat telecast to meet their deadline for episodes that they were obliged to submit.

The other production houses in the banned league include Rainbow Films, Matrix Entertainment, Magic Works, Vaishnu Films, Tirupati Productions. The remaining production houses that have faced the brunt of Doordarshan for allegedly deviating from the accepted terms are Shrey Media, Montage Films, Astra Production, Saif Entertainment, Meghna U-Matic Vision and Bajaj Animation Kendra. The public broadcaster said it banned and forbade any deals with them in near future as they failed to meet accepted terms and condition under its Short-term Acquisition Scheme 2006-07. The public broadcaster had invited TV producers to participate in the special scheme in 2007 if they had ready programmes on special subjects. The special topics included 150 years of the First War of Indian independence and shows for family viewing.
